This quarry is located in the province of Santo Domingo Este, municipality of Boca Chica. On March 1999, Marmotech. S. A., begins the exploitation of this quarry, after having fulfilled all the legal requirements established in the Dominican mining law No. 146.

This quarry is located in the province of Santa Barbara, Samaná, part of Las Galeras municipality. In May 2000, Marmotech S.A., signed a lease contract with CORDE for this concession of 1640.00 mining hectares, carried out through the process of capitalization of state companies and all equipment and other concessions of what was once known as Marmolería Nacional. Due to its beauty and impressive combinations of its black color with bright gold veins, this is a unique and precious material in the world.

Also known as Vicente Noble Quarry, it’s located in Barahona province, part of Vicente Noble municipality. The area is mainly formed by an abrupt relief that produces strong variations in the altimetry which, combined with a vegetation with a predominance of thorny trees and cactus tree types (such as cambrón, guazábara, bayahonda, seedlings, etc.), difficult the access to this area. Geomorphologically, this quarry is located at the eastern tip of the Martín García mountain range, ending in a mountainous point bordered by an alluvial terrace in which small elevations of soft relief stand out with an altimetry of approximately 100 meters above sea level. The stone where the exploitation works have started is in the Ranchería Paraje

In 1991, Marmotech S.A. starts is operation with the development of this quarry, located in the province of San Cristóbal. At first, the company started with the exploitation of cream and pink marble, which was extracted using conventional methods, but was quickly upgraded to the implementation of cutting machines with diamond wires and chain shearing machine (KORFMANN). The processing plant has been growing which has allowed Marmotech S.A., to reach the more than 10,000 square meters that it currently produces.

In 1995 Marmotech strengthens its leadership in the national market with the technification of its Manomatuey quarry, with the introduction of diamond wire and the assistance of the European Community in the training programs of our local staff. The local technical staff was trained in Spain while the workforce was locally trained by Italian technicians. From that moment onwards, Marmotech has assumed a commitment with nature, applying an environmentally friendly mining processes, without the use of explosives, noise or dust.

Located in the province of Pedernales, The Marien exploitation concession was requested from the General Mining Department on December 13, 1991 and granted by the executive branch on December 29, 1998. With a surface area of 199.51 mining hectares, it became at the time the third quarry owned by Marmotech S.A. , whose purpose was to have a new variety of material that, due to its color, texture, price, and its condition as a local product, could be offered competitively the growing client base that this company had.
